About me. About me… Well, what do you want? A whole back
story? Alright, let’s go way back.
My name is Chelsea. I grew up in a little town in north
eastern Pennsylvania with a big, fantastic family and a big, fantastic attitude. I was never overweight, I don’t have
any kind of chronic disease, and I never suffered a major bodily injury. The
miracle of my running story is that it even exists.
I never was an athlete. Sure, I played some sports as a kid
and tennis and dance through most of high school, but I was never competitive. I never had that crazy drive to win that some
people (cough, my husband) have. But somehow, for some reason, in March of 2013 I
decided I wanted to become a runner. I suppose I was sick of sitting around on
my ass not doing anything. I started out with the Couch to 5k program and
within two months, I had signed up for my first half marathon.
I trained all summer and in the fall of that same year, I ran
two half marathons within three weeks of each other. I was hooked. I have run a
total of ten half marathons and countless races of other shorter distances
since I started running in 2013. My husband and I are currently planning to run our first full marathon at Walt Disney World in January of 2017. I use this blog as a means to
chronicle my running journey and I hope you find it as enjoyable as I do!
